According to the report, Alcoa Corporation, an American aluminum maker, recently announced a new aluminum and alumina line called Sustana.

Sustana line will be producing the world’s first low-carbon, smelter-grade alumina named EcoSource, which will only emit half of the CO2 compared to the industry’s average 1 ton’s of alumina or 0.6 ton’s of refined aluminum.

Alcoa is aiming to become the largest third-party alumina business to create the smallest carbon footprint in the industry.
