Bangladesh SS Steel acquires Saleh Steel

It was reported Bangladesh SS Steel acquired its competitor Saleh Steel for roughly BDT 247 million taka.

SS Steel will own 99% of Saleh Steel's shares and promised to inject another approximately BDT 1.34 billion to maintain the smooth operation of the Saleh plant.

Saleh Steel has an annual capacity of 84,000 tons of steel. Once the two steel mills are merged, the annual output of SS Steel will be increased to 192,000 tons.
