China says steel output will be up around 4% this year

China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) briefing via Reuters, main points:

the association says it expects 2020 crude steel output to exceed 1 bln tonnes, up 3 to 5% y/y
expects 2020 steel products exports down about 15%
imports up about 60%
says steel firm members Q4 orders relatively full

 

CISA gives credit to government support/stimulus for the output gains expected.
