China’s iron ore imports decrease by 1.7% m-o-m in Oct

According to the official statistic from the Chinese government, the total imports of iron ore this October showed a 1.7% decrease month on month, but the total number was still more than 100 million tons.

Moreover, the total imports of iron ore in China in the first 10 months this year were around 975 million tons, increased by 11% year on year, mainly benefited by the strong producing demand from the domestic steel mills.

However, the market predicted that it might be the peak for this year because the market might face seasonal weak demand in the last quarter.
