CISA: China's crude steel output to surpass 1 billion tons in 2020

China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) expected that China's crude steel output will surpass 1 billion tons this year, with a year-on-year increase of 3-5%.

The annual steel export volume in 2020 was estimated to drop by approximately 15% year on year, and the import volume was foreseen with the growth of 60% for this year.

In addition, it was expected that the key steel enterprises in China will realize profits of roughly RMB 180 billion in 2020, a possible slight decrease or keeping flat year on year.
