Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly toured Egypt Aluminum (Egyptalum)’s newly launched production line, a key project aimed at modernizing state-owned industry.

Developed in partnership with Italy’s Properzi for $17.5 million, the new production line has an annual capacity of 60,000 tons of high-quality aluminum wire. This expansion brings the company’s total yearly output to 120,000 tons.

The project targets local market needs while increasing Egypt’s presence in global markets such as Spain, Italy, and Greece. Trial operations are already underway to reach full production levels.

Egyptalum plans to reduce imports and fulfill existing international orders with the new production line. This upgrade serves as a primary pillar for the national economy and strengthens the company’s competitive position.
