The EU initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on aluminum converter foils originating in China, investigating whether the subject goods from China are being subsidized and thereby bringing injury to the EU industry.

The investigation was launched based on a complaint filed on October 21, 2020 by six EU producers, representing more than 50% of the total production of aluminum converter foils in the EU.

In addition, these products were also under an anti-dumping (AD) investigation started in October of this year by the EU European Commission.

The products involved are classified under CN code ex 7607 11 19 (TARIC codes 7607 11 19 60 and 7606 11 19 91).
