Indian ASW corvette programme cuts first steel

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has commenced construction of its eight-ship Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASWSWC) programme for the Indian Navy (IN) with a steel-cutting ceremony for the first ship to be called INS Mahe (BY 523), the company announced on 1 December.
