Indonesian Antam’s nickel ore production rises in Q1

According to statistics from PT Aneka Tambang (Antam), a state-owned diversified mining company in Indonesia, the firm’s nickel ore production totaled 2.64 million wet tons in the first quarter of this year, hiking from 629,000 tons in the same period a year ago. The sales volume of nickel ore in the first quarter was 1.6 million wet tons.

Antam reported that its ferronickel output in the first quarter was 6,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.2%. The sales volume of ferronickel during the period was roughly 5,600 tons, down by 12% year on year.
