ISSF: Global stainless steel production rises in Q3

According to statistics from the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), global stainless crude steel production totaled around 13.6 million tons in the third quarter, rising by 17.5% compared to the previous quarter.

In the first three quarters of this year, global stainless crude steel production was roughly 36.7 million tons, sliding by 7.8% compared to the same period a year ago.

Among them, the production in China had a year-on-year decrease of 2.4%; that in the Asia region, excluding China and South Korea, had a year-on-year reduction of 21.8%; that in the US was down by 22%; that in Europe dropped by 13.1%.
