Japanese steel manufacturer Aichi Steel will expand its partnership with Vardhman Special Steels in Punjab, planning to invest Rs 500 crore to drive related developments.

In the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the two parties formalized their agreement by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The Minister noted that Aichi Steel already holds approximately 24.9% of Vardhman's shares, and this further investment demonstrates the deepening cooperation between India and Japan within Punjab's industrial ecosystem. He emphasized that the state government will fully support the cooperation between Aichi Steel and Vardhman and provide necessary assistance.
