Norsk Hydro accused of causing toxic waste pollution

It was reported that Norsk Hydro was accused of causing toxic waste pollution in northern Brazil.

The lawsuit was filed by a community in Pará, a state in northern Brazil and traversed by the lower Amazon River, and approximately 11,000 families were involved.

Norsk Hydro has three facilities in Pará, including Paragominas bauxite mine, Alunorte alumina refinery, and Albras aluminum smelter.
