Nucor Tubular Products announced that it has entered into partnership with New Jersey-based PowerFleet. The partnership is expected to help the company achieve its goal of developing itself into the world’s safest steel company.

The two companies had recently carried out a pilot program, which ended successfully. This has given Nucor the confidence to install PowerFleet’s Enterprise telematics solutions in all its lift-trucks and instrument cranes during the initial half of the current year. The project comprises deployment of PowerFleet Forewarner MAXI Crane Safety lights and CP4 Forklift Camera solutions.

Nathan Fraser, Nucor vice president and general manager stated that PowerFleet’s telematic solutions could ensure safer transactions. Furthermore, it will reduce costs and inefficiencies when compared to manual methods. The system will automatically send critical safety and equipment information into its Business Management System, which will help them to be more responsive and efficient, he added.

Meantime, Mark Stanton, general manager of PowerFleet for Industrial noted that the company is excited to continue expanding the work with Nucor Tubular Products in order to ensure highest level of safety across their facilities.
