Sarginsons Industries, an aluminum foundry in the UK, has unveiled AI-driven designs that make aluminum transportation parts nearly 50% lighter while maintaining strength. By optimizing material placement, the technology reduces weight without compromising performance.

Part of the £6 million Performance Integrated Vehicle Optimization Technology (PIVOT) project, this breakthrough allows Sarginsons Industries to predict the mechanical properties of the entire casting, including vehicle crash performance simulation.

Using fully recycled aluminum, the company aims to cut carbon emissions and vehicle weight significantly. Expected to produce its first physical casting by summer, this technology enables lightweight but strong transportation components, making cars, planes, trains, and drones lighter, greener, and more cost-effective.
