Walsin Lihwa, one of the main stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan, announced to raise prices for November today (October 30).

According to the price announcement, the price of 304 stainless steel wire rod and steel plate was both hiked by NT$2,000/ton, and the base price of exported wire rod and steel plate was up by US$100/ton. Walsin Lihwa’s prices have been increased for seven consecutive months.

The monthly average price of nickel has reached US$15,231/ton in October so far, higher than that in the previous month. Therefore, Walsin Lihwa decided to raise its prices in order to reflect raw material costs.
