TISCO plans to build iron-nickel & short-process stainless steel project in Indonesia

Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (TISCO) signed a planning contract with China Metallurgical East for a project short-process stainless steel in Indonesia.

The contract covers the construction of eight ferronickel production lines and the follow-up stainless steel smelting facilities in Sulawesi.

The main construction includes 2×250MW self-served coal-fired generating units, 8×42MVA RKEF ferronickel smelting line with an output of 640,000 tons per year, 100,000-ton deep water wharf, stainless steel production lines, and auxiliary facilities for production and living.
