Turkey's pig iron imports reduce in Jan-Feb

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported around 116,000 tons of pig iron in the first two months of this year, reducing by 40.7% compared to the same period a year ago.

Among them, the imports were mainly from Ukraine, totaling around 38,000 tons, dropping by 20.04% year on year; followed by Brazil’s 33,000 tons.

In February alone, Turkey’s pig iron imports amounted to roughly 57,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 3.6% and a year-on-year reduction of 34.8%.
