US’ Ball Corp. to build new aluminum plant in Kentucky

Ball Corporation, a provider of metal packaging in the US, had a plan to build a new aluminum ends plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, mainly producing the tops of aluminum cans for the beverage industry. The decision was to meet the growing demand from the firm’s beverage can manufacturing plants in North America.

The plant was expected to create 200 job opportunities as well as to make long-term growth in the regional economy by US$723 million. The facility will be put into production by 2022.
