US’ crude steel production rises

According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ended June 19, the production of US’ crude steel totaled around 1.84 million short tons, rising by 0.3% from the same period a week ago and also hiking by 44.6% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 82.9%, increasing by 0.3% week on week and also going up by 25.8% year on year.

As of the week ended June 19, the production of US’ crude steel has amounted to around 43.22 million short tons this year, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%. The capacity utilization rate was 78.7%, a year-on-year hike of 10.9%.
