The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced a result of a preliminary ruling, finding that South Korean POSCO’s carbon and alloy steel wire rods were sold in the US market at prices below fair value during the period of review from October 31, 2017 to April 30, 2019.

As a result of the preliminary administrative review, the weighted-average dumping margin for POSCO was set at 1.01%, which will be lower than the final dumping rate of 41.1% set in May 2018 if it was finalized.
