US’ primary aluminum imports slide in Jun

According to statistics, the US imported around 262,000 tons of primary aluminum in June, dropping by 17% compared to the same period a year ago, which was the largest monthly year-on-year decrease in 2020.

Among them, the imports from most sources had a year-on-year decline in June, including Australia, the UAE, Russia, Bahrain, and Qatar, dropping by 91%, 81%, 78%, 75%, and 65% respectively.

Besides, US’ primary imports under HS code 7601 from Canada had a year-on-year hike of 27% to roughly 224,200 tons in June.
