Vedanta Aluminium to invest in expansion of Lanjigarh alumina refinery

Ajay Kapur, CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, said that Vedanta Aluminium has a capital expenditure budget of US$300 million for this fiscal year. The expansion project at its Lanjigarh alumina refinery is most significant and it needs to be approved by the government. Most of this project will be completed in the next 2-3 years.

In 2020-21, Vedanta Aluminium had a delivery of 1.96 million tons. The firm aimed to raise its annual production capacity to 3 million tons.
