Australia’s leading independent architectural aluminium finisher, Australian Aluminium Finishing (AAF), has announced a major upgrade to its aluminium finishing operations. Following the introduction of the latest powder coating technology, the company is now focused on expanding its decorative finish ranges, which are more sustainable for architectural and industrial applications.

Latest powder coating technology promises premium finishes

AAF has reportedly made a major investment in modernising its powder coating application systems with top-notch equipment to deliver premium-quality aluminium finishes. The upgrades feature high-density powder flow technology, which is typically reserved for vertical lines. Leveraging the same, AAF has adapted it to align with its flexible horizontal lines. This enables the company to coat extrusions of varying sizes and profiles with exceptional precision.

Each plant now operates with the exclusive ATE Pure Powder Flow System around the spray booth areas. This system contains electromagnetic fields to support the latest Gema electrostatic guns, ensuring an even, high-penetration finish. It produces a more consistent and seamless finish that delivers longevity to the product while ensuring its premium appearance.
