Abul Khair Steel launches world's fastest rebar mill in Bangladesh

Abul Khair Steel, a steel manufacturer in Bangladesh, has launched a new, high-capacity rebar rolling mill in Sitakunda, Chattogram, Bangladesh, supplied by SMS group. The mill will produce 1.6 million tons of deformed bars yearly to meet the country’s strong demand for construction steel.
The new facility is the world’s fastest, achieving a record production speed of 55.04 meters per second.
The mill uses several innovative SMS technologies, including the ECOFlame+ burner for lower emissions and the EBROS® endless bar rolling system for uninterrupted rolling, which increases productivity and material yield.
These advancements reduce costs and support Abul Khair Steel’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing while serving Bangladesh’s infrastructure growth.
