Alstom, the largest producer in Poland’s railway industry, has invested around EUR 10 million to install a new aluminum welding line at its rolling stock production plant in Wroclaw.

As part of sustainable mobility strategies and trends in the railway industry, this investment will replace the heavier and difficult-to-machine steel line with a lighter aluminum line, which also has a high strength-to-weight ratio and better corrosion resistance.

The funds were used for new equipment and machinery, infrastructure upgrades, and employee training.
