Aperam hikes European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Mar

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer headquartered in Luxembourg, raised the alloy surcharge for its European austenitic stainless steel flat products for March.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,060/ton from February’s EUR 1,992/ton; that for 316 was increased to EUR 3,364/ton from EUR 3,299/ton in the previous month; that of 309S (1.4833), used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was EUR 2,762/ton, up from EUR 2,664/ton in February; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 (1.4512) was increased to EUR 862/ton from the previous month’s EUR 854/ton.

The new surcharge will be applicable on March 1, 2024.
