On February 18, 2025, the Ministry of Economy of Argentina announced the launch of the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on aluminum sheets originating in China, following the application submitted by the domestic companies Laminación Paulista Argentina S.R.L. and Industrializadora de Metales S.A.

Meanwhile, a review of the change of circumstances was also initiated, considering that there may be shifts in the national and international scenario that could impact the market for the analyzed product.

The products involved are non-alloyed or alloyed aluminum sheets of the 3xxx series according to IRAM 681 standard, with a diameter greater than or equal to 60mm but less than or equal to 1000mm and a thickness greater than or equal to 0.3mm but less than or equal to 5mm. These products are classified under tariff codes of MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM) 7606.91.00 and 7606.92.00.

The existing imposition of the AD duty, with a rate of 80.14%, will be suspended until the result of the review is issued. This duty rate was confirmed in the final determination on February 26, 2020, and was valid for five years.

This announcement takes effect upon the publication in the Official Gazette.
