The Argentine company Sidersa will build a new steel plant in Buenos Aires with a total investment of approximately US$300 million.

The new plant, which will generate more than 300 direct jobs and 3,500 indirect jobs, aims to produce 360,000 tons of essential steel products for the market, such as construction steel and wire rod.

The plant is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2028; at that time, it will produce green steel containing only 370 CO2 per ton, three times more environmentally friendly than the global average.
