Argentina's steel output hits 10-year high in Oct

According to the Argentine Iron & Steel Institute (Camara Argentina del Acero, CAA), Argentina produced approximately 493,000 tons of steel products in October, hiking by 10.1% from the same month a year ago. It was the highest transaction volume since April 2012.

During this period, the total amount of hot rolled products (flats and non-flats) was 418,000 tons, a year-on-year decline of 0.3%. The output of cold-rolled flat products was about 115,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.2%.

In the first ten months of 2022, Argentina produced roughly 4.2 million tons of steel products, up by 5% from last year.
