It was reported that the automaker Audi Hungaria Zrt. announced that it will launch an aluminum closed loop project in 2021, which is a progress of returning aluminum scraps generated during the production to the supplier, and then the scraps will be re-made into aluminum coils, entering the automobile production process again.

According to Audi Hungaria, the project is very important because the company is striving for ways to decarbonize.

Compared to the production of primary aluminum, this process with secondary aluminum can save up to 95% of net energy consumption, fulfilling Audi Hungaria’s goal to maximize energy efficiency.
