Australia’s Alcore plans to build aluminum fluoride plant

It was reported that Australia's Alcore planned to build aluminum fluoride plants with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons near Bell Bay, Tasmania, in order to supply for the aluminum industries in Australia and New Zealand to reduce dependence on imports, especially from China.

According to customers’ demand and low-cost sources, Alcore said that the long-term production capacity was expected to increase to 30,000-60,000 tons per year.

Alcore’s initial goal was to meet 35% of aluminum fluoride demand for aluminum smelters in Australia and New Zealand.
