Australia's Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) announced that it decided to invest €100 million to cooperate with Tree Energy Solutions (TES), the German company engaged in green hydrogen and a disruptive innovator in the energy system, for developing green hydrogen import equipment in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.

Also, FFI will invest another €30 million in TES, and it will own a 30% stake in Deutsche Grüngas und Energieversorgung GmbH, the subsidiary of TES.

The first phase of this cooperation is the supply of 300,000 tons of green hydrogen, and the first shipment to TES' terminal in Wilhelmshaven was expected in 2026.
