Austrian steel output increases in Mar

According to data from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), in March, the steel production from Austrian enterprises increased by 30.3% month on month but decreased by 2.7% year on year to about 696,000 tons. In the first three months of this year, Austrian steel output amounted to 1.83 million tons, decreasing by 8.1% from the corresponding period of last year.

From the end of 2022 to the beginning of 2023, the EU steel enterprises started to restart their production with increasing demand for steel and the energy cost going down.
