Brazil’s crude steel output falls in Jan-Nov y-o-y; IABr sees further declines in 2025 & 2026

According to the Brazilian Steel Institute (IABr), the domestic crude steel production during the first eleven months of this year totaled 30.8 million tons, a 1.5% decrease compared to the same period last year.

 

Based on the first eleven months, IABr expects the total production to reach 33.1 million tons in 2025, a drop of 2.2% compared to the 33.6 million tons produced in 2024. For 2026, IABr expects production to reach 32.4 million tons, a drop of 2.2% compared to the estimated volume for 2025.
