Brazil’s pig iron exports drop by 22.9% in Dec 2025

According to statistics from Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX), Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 273,000 tons in December last year, decreasing by 22.9% compared to the previous month.

In the month, the exports were mostly to the US, totaling around 211,000 tons. European countries received a total of roughly 60,000 tons.

The deliveries in December were mainly shipped by suppliers in the Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, where a total of approximately 195,000 tons were shipped.
