Brazil’s pig iron exports fall in Jun

According to Brazilian customs statistics, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 248,000 tons in June this year, falling by 41% compared to the previous month.

During the period, the exports were mostly to the US, Argentina, Canada, the Netherlands, and Asia, with the separate volume of around 207,000 tons, 23,000 tons, 8,800 tons, 5,000 tons, and 3,500 tons, mainly exported by suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and Mato Grosso do Sul. There were no exports from the states of Pará and Maranhão in June, whose total supply was around 48,000 tons in the previous month.
