Brazil's pig iron exports soar in Jul

According to Brazilian customs, Brazil exported approximately 354,0,000 tons of pig iron in July, surging by 68.2% from 210,000 tons in the previous month.

The major destinations included the United States (about 311,000 tons), Europe (about 34,000 tons), South America (about 5,100 tons), and Asia (about 4,400 tons).

Those pig iron came from independent producers in the southeastern states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo (265,000 tons), the northern states of Pará and Maranhão (74,000 tons), and the central-western states of Mato Grosso do Sul (14,000 tons).
