Canada’s iron ore concentrate exports fall in Sep

According to Statistics Canada, Canada exported nearly 4 million tons of iron ore concentrates in September, a month-on-month decrease of 36% and a year-on-year drop of 26%.
At the same time, Canada’s iron ore concentrate production totaled around 4.75 million tons, falling by 39% compared to the previous month and by 7% from the same month a year earlier.
Canada accounts for 2% of global iron ore production. Canada’s iron ore exports were expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 2.61% from 2023 to 2027.
