Canada’s iron ore concentrate production decreases in Jan

According to Statistics Canada, in January, Canada’s iron ore concentrate production amounted to about 5.15 million tons, a month-on-month and year-on-year decrease of 4.5% and 0.9%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Canada exported iron ore concentrate with about 3.58 million tons, growing by 19.9% from the previous month and increasing by 2.7% compare to the same month a year ago.

During the same period, the inventories of Canada’s iron ore concentrate were around 8.15 million tons, a month-on-month increase of about 492,000 tons but decreasing by 929,000 tons from last January.
