China's Ministry of Commerce announced that it will initiate an expiry review of anti-dumping (AD) measures on stainless steel billets and hot-rolled stainless steel plates and coils imported from the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), South Korea, and Indonesia. This review will start on July 23, 2024.

These anti-dumping duties, originally imposed on July 23, 2019, targeted stainless steel products from the EU, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia, with rates ranging from 18.1% to 103.1% over a five-year period.

As of July 23, 2024, the anti-dumping measures on imports from Japan will be terminated upon their expiration. Stainless steel billets and hot-rolled stainless steel plates and coils are crucial for various industries, including shipping, containers, railways, power generation, and petrochemicals.
