China’s A00 aluminium ingot price declines by RMB150/t W-o-W; Low-carbon aluminium price slumps by RMB70/t

On Tuesday, June 25, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price dropped by RMB 60 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,200 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 90 to RMB 50 per tonne. The average prices may orbit between RMB 20,180 per tonne and RMB 20,220 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the domestic aluminium ingot price declined RMB 150 per tonne W-o-W from RMB 20,350 per tonne recorded on June 18.
The impact of the A00 aluminium ingot price drop was felt across all major provinces. In regions like Gongyi, Foshan, Chongqing and Shenyang, the prices slumped by RMB 70 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,060 per tonne, RMB 20,000 per tonne, RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,170 per tonne. In Wuxi, Hangzhou and Linyi, the prices dropped by RMB 60 per tonne to reach RMB 20,190 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne. In Tianjin, the aluminium ingot price lost RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,260 per tonne.
