China's aluminum processed products production increases in 2023

According to the report, China Non-Ferrous Metals Fabrication Industry Association (CNFA) published that in 2023, the production volume of aluminum processed products increased by 3.9% year on year to about 46.95 million tons. Among them, the output of aluminum extrusions and aluminum foils rose by 8.8% and 1.6% to 23.4 million tons and 5.1 million tons, respectively.

The output of aluminum plates used in automotive, architecture decoration, and printing industries increased by 28.6%, 2.3%, and 2.1% to 450,000 tons, 2.2 million tons, and 2.7 million tons, respectively. On the contrary, aluminum cans decreased by 5.3% to 1.8 million tons.

In terms of aluminum extrusions, the output of aluminum extrusions used in industrial, new energy vehicles, and solar power climbed by 25%, 30.7%, and 30.8% to 9.5 million tons, 980,000 tons, and 3.4 million tons, respectively.
