China’s average alumina spot price expands by RMB28/t; A00 aluminium ingot price surge by RMB200/t

On Thursday, April 25, China's average alumina spot price experienced a significant increase, soaring by US$28 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,362 per tonne. This was followed by a surge of RMB 40 per tonne in Bayuquan, reaching RMB 3,400 per tonne. This upward trend is noteworthy, as it marks a M-o-M increase of RMB 44 per tonne from RMB 3,318 per tonne recorded on March 25. As per the data, Y-o-Y, the price has gained RMB 464 per tonne from RMB 2,898 per tonne.
The price changes in different regions of China further highlight the dynamic nature of the alumina market. In regions like Shandong and Shanxi, the alumina prices have ascended by RMB 30 per tonne to arrive at RMB 3,340 per tonne. Similarly, the prices in Henan and Guangxi have expanded by RMB 30 per tonne to peg at RMB 3,385 per tonne and RMB 3,395 per tonne. In Guizhou and Lianyungang, the prices have ascended by RMB 20 per tonne to reach RMB 3,355 per tonne and RMB 3,305 per tonne. These regional variations provide a comprehensive view of the market and its impact on different areas.
