China’s bauxite imports grow in Jul

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China imported around 10.6 million tons of bauxite in July this year, hiking by 14.4% compared to the same month a year ago.

During the period, the imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products were about 193,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38.3%.

In the first seven months of this year, China’s imports of bauxite were up by 17.6% to 75.8 million tons, and those of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products dropped by 28% to 1.28 million tons, both year on year.

Besides, China's primary aluminum production hiked to 3.43 million tons in July.
