China's coated sheet & strip imports fall in Aug, while exports rose

According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, China's imports of coated steel sheets and strips in August this year were around 8,230 tons, a decrease of nearly 21% from the previous month and nearly 5% from the previous year.
The total import volume in the first eight months of this year was 71,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 28.5%.
In terms of exports China's exports of coated steel sheets and strips were 719,000 tons in August, a new high this year, an increase of 20.7% year-on-year and nearly 30% month-on-month.
The total export volume in the first eight months of this year was 4.88 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 18%.
