China's hot-rolled flat product exports decline by 22.4% in Jan-Apr

According to statistics, in April, China exported about 1.91 million tons of hot-rolled coils and sheets to overseas markets. It was also the third consecutive month that China's monthly hot-rolled exports exceeded 1.9 million tons. Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South Korea remained major markets for these Chinese hot-rolled products.
However, compared with the same period of last year, the hot-rolled export in April actually went down by 12%.
In the first four months of this year, China exported 7.21 million tons of hot-rolled flat products in total, 2.06 million tons less than the same period of 2024, representing a 22.4% decline.
