China’s HRC production hikes, CRC production falls in Oct

According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, China produced around 15.8 million tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) this October, rising by 24.6% compared to the same month a year ago. The output of cold-rolled coil (CRC) was 3.4 million tons during the period, a year-on-year drop of 7.4%.

In the first ten months of this year, China’s HRC output amounted to approximately 156.4 million tons, increasing by nearly 4% year on year. The production of CRC in the given period was down by 2.5% year on year to 35.3 million tons.
