China’s imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products grow in Sep

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China’s imports of aluminum ore and its concentrate imports totaled 10.02 million tons in September, rising by 23.1% compared to the same month a year ago. Imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products grew by 63.2% year on year to around 332,000 tons in September.

In terms of exports, China’s alumina exports slightly dropped by 0.3% year on year to 90,000 tons, and exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products slid by nearly 5% year on year to 471,000 tons.

In the first nine months of this year, China’s imports of aluminum ore and its concentrate grew by 12.8% to 106.6 million tons, and those of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products hiked by 21.5% to 2.04 million tons, both year on year. Exports of alumina rose by 15.6% year on year to 930,000 tons, and those of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products decreased by 18% year on year to 4.26 million tons.
