China’s iron ore production & imports increase in Apr

According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, China’s iron ore production totaled around 86.9 million tons in April, increasing by nearly 6.3% compared to the previous month and also up by 11.7% from the same month a year ago. The imports during the period were around 98.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.98%.

In the first four months of this year, China’s iron ore production amounted to approximately 322.7 million tons, hiking by 18.6% from the same period a year earlier. The imports had a year-on-year increase of 6.7% to roughly 382 million tons.
