According to statistics, China, the largest aluminum producer in the world, produced a total of 6.33 million tons of primary aluminum in the first two months of this year, falling by 1.4% compared to the same period a year ago.

However, the average daily output during the period was 107,288 tons, reaching the highest since June 2021. Despite the pollution restriction during the heating season and the Winter Olympics, the smelters far from Beijing were still being operated.

Due to the resumed supply of primary aluminum and the accelerated new production capacity putting into production, the future supply was expected to grow further.
